Meet Linda Carney

Linda started playing tennis at the age of 20 and was soon active in clinics, drills, tournaments, and USTA League play. She cherishes the friendships tennis has fostered over the years.


Linda and her teammates enjoy practicing, traveling to meets, and fun nights out celebrating birthdays and friendship. They were even lucky enough to have their USTA team qualify for Nationals a few years ago!


Linda volunteered on the Iowa City Tennis Association Board and as treasurer for the Iowa District Tennis Association.


Linda feels lucky for the friends they have met through The Racquet Master. Friends that have moved away often stop back in The Racquet Master when visiting Iowa City, and they are always happy to see Craig still behind the stringing machine!
